May 10, 2009 | News Building Dedication & Consecration Service Reports, Photos & Video  Our May 10, 2009 Building Dedication and Consecration was a joyous day of celebration and dedication.
The Rt. Rev. John Bryson Chane, Bishop of Washington, presided at the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Ken Howard, Rector of St. Nicholas Church.
More than 300 people attended, including former Bishop of Washington, the Rt. Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon, members of Diocesan Council, Standing Committee, and Convention, more than 30 diocesan clergy, and interdenominational and interfaith clergy from the surrounding area. There was great excitement as we dedicated and consecrated not only our first church building, but the first new church building in the diocese in over 40 years.
