Germantown HELP. You can assist with this ministry every Sunday. We collect canned and dry goods for the food pantry. Bring your food items to church each Sunday and place them in the basket by the door to the nave. We also need people to deliver the food to Germantown HELP from time to time. Contact: The Germantown HELP Coordinators.
Shady Grove Rehabilitation Center Outreach. Think you might be called to be a part of one of our Lay Ministerial Teams who take communion to Shady Grove Rehabilitation Center? Each team services about once every month. If you are interested in being trained for this ministry contact: The Shady Grove Outreach Scheduler.
Adopt-a-Highway. Want to be a good steward of the environment right in front of our church? Participate in the stewardship of God’s good creation by picking up litter our adopted stretch of Darnestown Road. We do this several times every year. If you are interested in helping, ontact: The Adopt-a-Highway Coordinator.
El Hogar. El Hogar de Esperanza y Amor is a vocational school for orphaned and abandoned boys in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. St. Nicholas Church has had a supportive relaionship with the school for over a decade, sponsoring one or more students by paying as much of their tuition and expenses as possible. Opportunities in this area include hosting fundraisers and educational events. Also, every year or so, there are opportunities to take part in a mission trip to Honduras. If you feel drawn to this ministry, contact the Outreach Co-Coordinators.
