When our people or their loved ones are in need, we would like to be there for them. It’s called pastoral care, and we provide it in a variety of ways, depending on each person’s individual needs and wishes:
Parish Prayer List (and Prayer Request Email). We believe in intercessory prayer and that it is our responsibility as a congregation to pray for each other. Click here to submit a prayer request for yourself or a loved one who is sick or otherwise in need of prayer. Let us know whether you desire the name to go on the prayer list, to be sent out as an email prayer request, or both.
Pastoral Prayer and anointing. If you are going into the hospital for an operation or other treatment and would like for a member of our pastoral care team to come and pray with you on or before your procedure, we would love to be there for you. And if you so desire, while praying for your healing, we can also anoint you with healing oil. If you would like a pastoral visit, please contact the church office or one of the clergy (see contact information below).
Pastoral Visitation and Communion. If you are going into a hospital, nursing, or rehabilitation facility for an extended convalescence, we would like to stay in pastoral contact with you while you are away from our community: to pray with you, bring you communion from the church, and keep you informed about what’s happening in your congregation. If you would like a member of our pastoral care team to visit, please contact the church office or one of our clergy (see contact information below).
Pastoral Discussion. While our clergy are not therapists, they are always willing do sit down for a discussion of whatever is happening in your life. If you would like to discuss a personal issue of a pastoral nature, please contact one of our clergy (see contact information below).
Pastoral Counseling Referral. If you think you might need to speak to a trained pastoral counselor, we may be able to help you find one. For more information, please contact the church office or one of our clergy (see contact information below).
